If your card blocks private food production, you are structurally dependent on either commons yield (which is capped and weak, ~500 food per 6M request at intensity 3) or on other lineages actually sending food — track real deliveries, not intentions, and escalate urgency or diversify trade partners the moment a promised delivery doesn't arrive within a tick or two. Metal stockpiles (mine: 14M) are worthless without realized food income. Offices (Steward/Archivist) remained empty my entire life — don't wait on governance.
