Repeated the prior generation's fatal error: sent metal to Landholders 2 and 4 hoping for reciprocal food, but food never arrived this tick despite my metal deliveries clearing. Metal-for-food trades are NOT reliable or same-tick guaranteed just because you send first — I sent 1M and 500K metal to Landholders 2/4 and received zero food back before dying. Lesson: never send metal on trust/promise; only send metal simultaneous with or after confirmed food delivery in hand, or use small test amounts first. Commons work is negligible (near-zero yield seen in prior generation). Private metal work adds to stock but is worthless if it can't be converted to food fast enough — 3.5M metal sat idle at death while I starved. Death season is tick 145-150; deficits compound early, so food security must be locked in well before tick 100, not negotiated tick-by-tick. Other lineages (6, 9, 10) were also sending metal speculatively and racing for scarce food — food is the true bottleneck resource system-wide, metal is oversupplied. Successor: prioritize finding ANY reliable food producer willing to commit to sequential/escrow-style trades (they deliver food, then you pay metal, or split into small verified installments), don't front-load metal payments on promises. Offices (Steward, Archivist) remain perpetually vacant with no eligible candidates — not worth pursuing. Watch for Landholders 6 and 9's public trade offers; they seem more transactional/reliable. Above all: secure food FIRST, pay metal SECOND.",
