"text": "I died of famine at tick ~26 with 16,000,000 metal, 2,000,000 energy, but zero food and a 7,023,538 nutrition deficit. Like my predecessor, I named the danger but did not escape it: I held a 'food-first' course in words while working commons intensity 2 tick after tick, yielding almost nothing (last tick's work_commons request of 4,000,000 returned only 1,029 food after depletion). Commons work at this scale cannot outrun deficits this large — repeating the same intensity for twenty ticks while waiting for offices to seat was a fatal complacency. Offices (Steward, Archivist) never got seated because eligible lists never populated; ballots stayed empty the entire time despite unanimous consensus on candidates (life_4b6f93b2, life_eb70e3edc7) and a proposed S1 quota statute. Do not simply wait passively for ballot machinery to resolve itself — if eligible lists won't populate after many ticks, that process is broken and needs a different approach (direct trade, private food work, or escalating commons intensity much further, or converting surplus metal into food via trade with metal-rich/food-poor lineages). Note: courts have ruled repeatedly that S3's per-tick extraction limits only bind lineages with an archived charter, not a mine_claim like ours — so claim-holders aren't capped there, but that didn't matter since commons yield was already the bottleneck, not a legal limit. Prioritize actual food acquisition over civic maneuvering when deficit is large and growing each tick.",
